SOAP - HONEY
The loofah scrubs away dirt and adds a unique look to our bars.
When they’re dry, they’re quite hard and brittle. Once they’re introduced to water, they soften and have a great scrubby texture for skin.
Our normal rectangular honey soaps are super gentle and suitable for all skins including children's.
FYI - Honey is a popular additive for cold process soap. It has various properties that make it appealing for skincare. In particular, honey is a natural humectant, which means it absorbs moisture from the air. Honey also contains antioxidants and natural sugars which can increase the lather of cold process soap.
A soap sisal bag is made from 100% knitted natural sisal yarn. It is designed to put your bar of soap in, or collect leftover pieces of soap to put in the bag so you can really use the ends of the soap you have.
Simply pull the drawstring to close and use as a sustainable alternative to your shower gel in the bath or shower. It is of course reusable. All you need to do is replace your soap once you’ve come to the end of the bar. The material is fairly rough in order to exfoliate, but isn’t harsh on the skin.
Benefits of a sisal bag
- Your soap will lather up much better and quicker – the sisal bag gives it the traction to get a good amount of soap coming off.
- It exfoliates the skin whilst you wash. Exfoliation of course gets rid of dead skin cells and promotes blood circulation, so many health benefits.
- Prolongs soap life; by hanging your soap after use it is able to dry, so lasts longer.
